Reviews and Ratings
I stayed at this hotel recently, and while the rooms were beautifully decorated and a little bit quirky, the noise from the beer garden below was quite bothersome. The service, particularly from Declan and Lee-Ann, was outstanding, only marred by the occasional late-night noise. The location, though not close to major tourist spots, was very accommodating despite the nearby noise. The dining experience was very good overall, although the lack of alternative choices for substitutes was a downside. The facilities were adequate, but there were some issues with noise and sporadic shower operation.
The hotel's rooms were comfortable and clean, but the lack of a wardrobe and large room size needing the window open impacted the stay. The service was friendly and accommodating, with immediate issue resolution. The location in Bourton on the Water was amazing, despite some shabby elements and being slightly distant from dining options. Dining provided a good variety of breakfasts in a charming garden setting. Facilities were satisfactory.
The hotel is situated just down the road from the central square of Northleach's Cotswold honey-stone dwellings, offering a lovely place to spend the afternoon. The rooms, although cozy with a beautiful copper bath, were very hot and in need of a deep clean and update. The service was exceptional, with staff going above and beyond, but occasional noise disturbances were noted. The location, despite being close to attractions, was overshadowed by proximity to the kitchen. The dining experience was top quality, although limited in options after a previous feast. Overall, a pleasant stay with some room for improvement.
The hotel surprised me with the well-equipped rooms and thoughtful pet amenities, although the lack of facilities and overheated nights were a downside. The service was friendly but occasionally slow. The dining experience was a mix of fantastic and disappointing meals, with some small portion sizes. The location offered great access to amenities and beautiful gardens but needed more attention to cleanliness. Overall, a mixed experience with highlights and room for improvement.
